Telehealth makes it easier to see your doctor when getting to the clinic is difficult. St Mary Medical Centre offers both telephone and video consultations with our general practitioners.
How telehealth works
At the time of your appointment, your doctor will call you and consult with you over the phone or by video. It is a convenient way to discuss results, manage ongoing conditions, review your medications and address many everyday health concerns from the comfort of home or work.
Fees and Medicare rebates
St Mary Medical Centre charges a private fee for telephone and video consultations. Payment is taken by credit card over the phone before your appointment time. If you hold a current Medicare card and you have attended the clinic for a face to face appointment within the last 12 months, you will receive a Medicare rebate.
Booking a telehealth appointment
Telehealth appointments can be booked by calling our reception team or by booking online. Video consultations are available with selected doctors, and the same private fee applies.
Phone consultations
Speak with your doctor by phone for advice, results and ongoing care.
Video consultations
Face to face appointments by video with selected doctors.
Care from home
A convenient option for the times when visiting the clinic is difficult.
Telehealth eligibility
